next gen & some dual screen

It has been awhile. I have still been gaming so now im bloggin.

So first id like to talk about my next gen gaming experiences. My friend Jason got himself a 360 and I again borrowed my sisters ps3(thanks). So i got to play, arguable the best the 2 different systems have to offer to date.

For the xbox My friend and i co-op it up with gears of war 2. I should start by saying i have played the first gears on both the xbox 360 and pc. 2 was a big improvement all around. my friend has i nice big tv, im gonna guess 40 something hi-def flat, and every bit of this game looked great on it. The nature of gears of war is a very dismal, very dark and grey and brown, not alot of bright colors. there is a lot of red from getting your head chopped off by chainsaws. gameplay wise this game is great. it was really long, it took us 2 days to beat it. And the co-op was probably the best part of the game. Im defiantly looking forward to gears 3, hopefully it will be a bit more diverse then the first 2.

For the playstation 3 I got to play a good amount of killzone 2, hey another 2. I say a good amount because i didn't get to finish it, i probably wasn't even a quarter into it. but what i did play looked AMAZING, really what u think of when u say next gen. I have been playing fps for 15 years and this was the first time i felt motion sickness. it looked that real. u start off in space landing on a hostile alien planet, then a ruined city. freaking awesome. my only grip was the dam controls. i prefer to play my fpssss on my pc, mouse and keyboard are the way to go for aiming. HELL the wii controls work just as well. but i could not get use to the dual analog controls. So the only way i could hit anything was to spray and pray that i hit something. not too much fun for a fps.

So there ya go. next gen gaming at its finest.

but im not done talking..er typing. I also got myself some goodies for the nintendo ds.

I think ill start with Moon.

Moons is a fps syfy. It looks really dated by todays standers, but for a hand held its really impressive. If nintendo makes a ds + i really think fps would work really well.

Awhile back i talked abit about final fantasy 4 and crono trigger for the ds. while i got both of them so now i can talk from experience.

Crono trigger is basically a port of the original. same 16 bit snes graphics, same music, same game. they did make use of the 2nd screen for a map when your walking around, and in battles it can be used for touch based commands. its still as great a game as it was back in the day.

Final Fantasy 4 on the other is a remake. This means same great story with a fresh coat of 3d graphics. I played this one and finished it too soon. Ill definitely be replaying it over the summer.

I picked up bangao sprites.

this one is kind of hard to describe, its a shooter with some anime mixed it. bullet porn is another way to describe it. imagine if u will your a dot and there are about a million dots flying at u in all directions, u have to avoid them and fire off your own dots. its crazy hard, but i have a feeling ill be picking it up and playing it quite a bit.

I also got another ds game... remember this is in a span of 3 months, winter months. My last ds game is also my newest, like i just got it not even a week ago. the game is grand theft auto. china town wars.

my thoughts on the game... I LIKE IT!

Im gonna save my pcs gaming for another day as i have yapped quite a bit for today.
