new day new game

So its been awhile since i have posted. Slow day at work so i figured id get caught up.
I'll start with What i have been playing. Im actaully in the middle of a lot of games right now. I dont know what my problem is, i just cant seem to finish any games.
ill start with my pc.Im alost alwasy playing CodWAW, i just found the zombie co-op...SO MUCH FUN.
And I started playing fallout 3 again, some new dlc to enjoy there. and im taking the evil road.
I also just installed street fighter 4, alot of fun. im sure i would get into it more when i take it online. i havn't quite figured out how the super meter in this sf works. and ken isn't as good as he was in sfa3.
I was playing gra4, I had tweeked the settings enought to get a decent 35-40 frames per second, wich made the game playable. but it got a bit on the boaring side. Thats still installed on my pc so im sure ill come back to it sooner or later.

Ill cover my ds next. Were to start... I was playing dementium, but a boss killed me and i had to start from the begining of the lvl. So i left it at that.
I have played crono trigger a million times so i guess thats why im not so motivated to keep playing it on my ds. i got as far as robo in the future.
I got on a bit of a bangia-o kick. got passed the tutorial, and bast a couple of the stages. i think im finally figureing out how to play it.
I was getting really board with gta china town wars. and when i found out they were making it for the psp, that was the nail in the coffin. traded it in.
But I also got on ebay metriod prime hunters, a game i had but traided in a while ago. I dont remember why i got ride of it, but 2nd time around im really enjoying it. my hand just gets a little tierd at the boss fights.

Last but not least is my wii. So I started playing okomi, i think im pritty far in it. really amazing game. i like how the story is complex but not hard to follow.
I played a little bit of mad world, enough to get a taste for it. love the visualls and the gameplay. Im amazed anyone is complaining that its too short. my arms are dead after just one level. Ill defenlty go back and play some more of it.
Got punch out. and i love it. its just like the original and thats a good thing cuase i grew up playing punch out. wouldn't want it any other way. right now im stuck on mr sand man, the last guy. but i guess thats just half way threw the whole game cuase then u have to fight them all over again but there harder the 2nd time around. I did this week, just start to play smashbros again. what can i say, its still awesome. I also just got the conduet, a fps that so SO good. after getting threw 30% if it i some how deleted my game, so im starting over. Really great game.

So yeah theres a lot of unfinished games there. there need to be more hours in the day!

fallout boy

So i figured id write...type down my thoughts on my current gaming while i wait to uninstall Microsoft office... and its taking forever too!

So for my birthday i got a new PC game called Fallout 3. Before i start talking about it i never played the previous games 1&2. Luckily that wasn't an issue as this game starts off on a fresh foot...i think.

So whats it about. well u are born in a bomb shelter called a vault about 300 years after WW3 and the world as we know it is gone due to atomic bombs dropped. When u open the doors to the vault u find your self in a ruined Washington d.c.. The game plays like a mix of a first person shooter and a role playing game. And it does a very good job of it. You can choose to be good evil or neutral. My first play threw im being the nice guy.
The game is HUGE. it would take about an hour to walk from one side of the map to the other. Thank god that after u visit a place of interest u can return by just going to your map and clicking on it. there are plenty of npc or non playable characters to talk to. and a lot of quests or missions to take. or u could just walk around and kill the giant mutant scorpions and ants from the radiation.

Its alot of fun and looks really good. im about done with the game. and cant wait to start all over being evil haha.

i highly recommend it.

next gen & some dual screen

It has been awhile. I have still been gaming so now im bloggin.

So first id like to talk about my next gen gaming experiences. My friend Jason got himself a 360 and I again borrowed my sisters ps3(thanks). So i got to play, arguable the best the 2 different systems have to offer to date.

For the xbox My friend and i co-op it up with gears of war 2. I should start by saying i have played the first gears on both the xbox 360 and pc. 2 was a big improvement all around. my friend has i nice big tv, im gonna guess 40 something hi-def flat, and every bit of this game looked great on it. The nature of gears of war is a very dismal, very dark and grey and brown, not alot of bright colors. there is a lot of red from getting your head chopped off by chainsaws. gameplay wise this game is great. it was really long, it took us 2 days to beat it. And the co-op was probably the best part of the game. Im defiantly looking forward to gears 3, hopefully it will be a bit more diverse then the first 2.

For the playstation 3 I got to play a good amount of killzone 2, hey another 2. I say a good amount because i didn't get to finish it, i probably wasn't even a quarter into it. but what i did play looked AMAZING, really what u think of when u say next gen. I have been playing fps for 15 years and this was the first time i felt motion sickness. it looked that real. u start off in space landing on a hostile alien planet, then a ruined city. freaking awesome. my only grip was the dam controls. i prefer to play my fpssss on my pc, mouse and keyboard are the way to go for aiming. HELL the wii controls work just as well. but i could not get use to the dual analog controls. So the only way i could hit anything was to spray and pray that i hit something. not too much fun for a fps.

So there ya go. next gen gaming at its finest.

but im not done talking..er typing. I also got myself some goodies for the nintendo ds.

I think ill start with Moon.

Moons is a fps syfy. It looks really dated by todays standers, but for a hand held its really impressive. If nintendo makes a ds + i really think fps would work really well.

Awhile back i talked abit about final fantasy 4 and crono trigger for the ds. while i got both of them so now i can talk from experience.

Crono trigger is basically a port of the original. same 16 bit snes graphics, same music, same game. they did make use of the 2nd screen for a map when your walking around, and in battles it can be used for touch based commands. its still as great a game as it was back in the day.

Final Fantasy 4 on the other is a remake. This means same great story with a fresh coat of 3d graphics. I played this one and finished it too soon. Ill definitely be replaying it over the summer.

I picked up bangao sprites.

this one is kind of hard to describe, its a shooter with some anime mixed it. bullet porn is another way to describe it. imagine if u will your a dot and there are about a million dots flying at u in all directions, u have to avoid them and fire off your own dots. its crazy hard, but i have a feeling ill be picking it up and playing it quite a bit.

I also got another ds game... remember this is in a span of 3 months, winter months. My last ds game is also my newest, like i just got it not even a week ago. the game is grand theft auto. china town wars.

my thoughts on the game... I LIKE IT!

Im gonna save my pcs gaming for another day as i have yapped quite a bit for today.

Well, im waiting for a new game to install, i figured i would quickly update my blog.

whats new?
well for my wii i got guitar hero world tour. and i like it very much. im very surprised at how many good songs are on it. wasn't expecting filter or korn. im really hoping nin ends up on it at some point.

for my pc i havn't played too many new games. but i have played some jems.
I bought portal(played before but never owned). and unlocked a frew achevments. the timed ones are really hard! and i also bought bioshock,(again have played before but never owned). still a great game, almost 2 years later.

gta4 still sucks on my pc :/

but i just this week tried my hands at quake live. LOVE IT! it looks the same as i remember quake 3 looking but the insane online action makes up for it.

Still playing cod4 and left 4 dead.

and thats about it.

installing c&c red alrert 3. cant wait to play it.

Alot of great games coming out this year. infarct just next week mirrors edge is coming out for the pc!

start 4 life

So I havn't been playing too many new games lately, But when i have been playing, its on my PC, which just got an upgrade, i went from a 8800 gt to a gtx 260, 2nd best card you can have right now. And what have i been playing?

Well I played and won dead space. Good game. Has a good back story. Good scary monets, as a horror game should. And it looked really nice and played really nice. My only complaint is it got old very fast. Walk into a room, kill the monsters, clear the room go into the next, repeat. great ending though.

Played Far cry 2, like it. I like the sand boxyness of it. 90% of pc shooters are very linnier, go forward. being able to go were ever i wanted was nice. But there is also a problem with this, it took forever to get we i wanted to go, and the camera should really have been behind the car not inside the car when driving. I think flying should have been in there. so this one i didn't finish, now that i have a better card, i might give it another chance.

I also started silent hill homecomeing but havn't finished it. I have played every silent hill to date, even the psp one. I like the series. And i like sh5, again, new card will probably make the game even better. but I also got board of it.

Instead i have been spending all of my time playing left 4 dead.

This game is great. It tries to recreat a bad zombie horrer movie. and your the star, but your not alone in this game, you have 3 friends also trying to servive. I have finished all the differn't senarios of the game, but i wouldn't say im finished with it. Because the game goes online, its never the same playthrew. You will have differn't spawn locations for zombies, for your ammo. You might be playing with very conservitive players, or they might be really bad and make tons of mistakes and you have to work extra hard to get to the end.

I have also played gta4 or grand theft auto 4, but i wont talk of it becuase its a horrible, broken port. maybe when its fixed ill spend some time on it.
